Position: Packaging Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Packaging Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of packaging solutions for our company's products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our packaging meets the highest quality standards and aligns with our brand image. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop innovative packaging solutions that meet the product's requirements, while also considering cost, durability, and sustainability.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of packaging materials, technologies, and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and supply chain, to understand packaging requirements and ensure alignment with the company's goals.
• Create detailed packaging specifications and drawings, and work closely with suppliers to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and designs to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize packaging processes and reduce costs.
• Manage packaging projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to packaging, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with packaging suppliers, negotiate pricing and contracts, and manage supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Monitor packaging inventory levels and work with supply chain teams to optimize inventory management and minimize waste.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, technologies, and industry trends.
• Proficient in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with packaging testing and validation procedures.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to packaging.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
