Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement lesson plans that align with national and state science standards
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and facilitate their understanding of scientific concepts
Create hands-on activities, experiments, and demonstrations to enhance the learning experience
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds
Provide individualized support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals
Collaborate with other instructors and staff to continuously improve the curriculum and teaching methods
Utilize technology and digital tools to enhance the learning experience
Monitor and assess student progress and provide timely feedback
Communicate with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in science education

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field
Previous teaching experience, preferably in a K-12 setting
Knowledge of current science education theories, practices, and resources
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for teaching and inspiring students to learn
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in using technology and digital tools in the classroom
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of instructors and staff
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
