Position: Development Director
Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Director to join our dynamic team. As a Development Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our organization's development efforts. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies to secure funding and support for our organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan that aligns with our organization's goals and objectives
- Lead and manage all fundraising activities, including individual and corporate giving, grants, special events, and major gifts
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners to increase support for our organization
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create effective messaging and materials for fundraising campaigns
- Manage and maintain donor database and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping
- Develop and monitor annual fundraising budget and provide regular progress reports to the executive team
- Provide leadership and support to the development team, including setting goals, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in fundraising and incorporate them into the organization's development strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit organization
- Proven track record of successfully managing fundraising campaigns and securing major gifts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and partners
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Experience with donor database management and fundraising software
- Knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques, including donor cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation
- Passion for the organization's mission and a strong commitment to making a difference in the community
