Job Overview: As an Orchard Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our orchard. You will be responsible for managing a team of orchard workers, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of tasks, and maintaining the overall health and productivity of the orchard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of orchard workers, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Develop and implement work schedules and assign tasks to workers based on the needs of the orchard.
• Monitor and maintain the health of the trees, including pest and disease management, irrigation, and fertilization.
• Oversee the planting, pruning, and harvesting of fruit trees, ensuring that it is done with precision and according to industry standards.
• Manage the inventory of supplies and equipment needed for orchard operations and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all produce meets our company's high-quality standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices, and provide recommendations for improvements to optimize orchard operations.
• Maintain accurate records of orchard activities, including crop yields, expenses, and labor costs, and provide regular reports to the management team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in orchard operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of fruit tree cultivation, including planting, pruning, and harvesting techniques.
• Proficient in identifying and managing pests and diseases commonly found in fruit trees.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Proficient in using computer software and applications related to orchard operations.
