Position: Bridge Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bridge Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design, construction, and maintenance of various bridge projects. As a Bridge Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of bridges by utilizing your expertise in structural engineering principles and techniques. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and construction crews to deliver successful and innovative bridge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough site investigations and surveys to assess the condition of existing bridges and determine feasibility for new bridge projects.
• Develop detailed design plans and calculations for bridges, considering factors such as structural integrity, load-bearing capacity, and environmental impact.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools to create accurate and precise designs.
• Collaborate with project managers and architects to ensure that all designs adhere to project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Perform regular quality checks and reviews of design plans to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee the construction and installation of bridges, providing guidance and support to construction crews to ensure compliance with design plans.
• Conduct regular inspections of bridges to identify any potential issues and develop solutions to address them.
• Act as a mentor and provide technical support to junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge engineering with a proven track record of delivering successful bridge projects.
• In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles and techniques, including design, analysis, and construction.
• Proficient in using CAD software and other engineering tools.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards such as AASHTO, ACI, and ASTM.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
