Position: Pattern Maker
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pattern Maker to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Pattern Maker, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality and accurate patterns for our clothing line. Your attention to detail and expertise in pattern making will be essential in ensuring that our garments fit perfectly and meet our brand's standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create patterns for various garments and styles using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Analyze and interpret design sketches and specifications from designers
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure patterns meet design and fit requirements
- Utilize knowledge of fabric types and garment construction techniques to create accurate patterns
- Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to patterns based on feedback from design and production teams
- Create sample garments using patterns to test fit and make necessary modifications
- Maintain organized and accurate records of patterns and pattern development process
- Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in pattern making techniques
- Train and mentor junior pattern makers and provide guidance and support as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
- Proven experience as a Pattern Maker in the fashion industry
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as Gerber or Optitex
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction and fabric types
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong time management and organizational skills
