About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our dynamic team. As a NOC Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting our company's network infrastructure. This is a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our network, which is essential for our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise in a timely manner
• Perform regular network maintenance tasks, such as upgrades and patches
• Respond to network alerts and take appropriate action to resolve issues
• Coordinate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems
• Document network processes and procedures for future reference
• Proactively identify potential network problems and recommend solutions
• Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify potential security threats
• Provide technical support to end-users and assist with network-related inquiries
• Collaborate with network engineers to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure
• Ensure network equipment and systems are up-to-date and functioning properly
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) role
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG
• Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
• Experience with Cisco or Juniper devices and Linux/Unix operating systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA are a plus
