Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for students, providing guidance and support throughout their academic journey.
Conduct regular check-ins with students to assess their progress and address any concerns or challenges they may be facing.
Develop and implement personalized success plans for students, taking into consideration their individual strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure that students have access to the necessary resources and support services.
Assist students in navigating the university's policies, procedures, and academic requirements.
Monitor and track student academic performance, identifying potential areas of improvement and providing necessary interventions.
Connect students with relevant campus resources, such as tutoring services, career counseling, and student organizations.
Plan and facilitate workshops and seminars on topics related to academic success and personal development.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and progress.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student success initiatives and strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or a similar role.
Strong understanding of student development theories and strategies for promoting academic success.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently.
Proficient in using technology and student information systems.
