Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute entertaining and informative radio shows that appeal to the target audience
Conduct interviews with guests, such as celebrities, experts, and community leaders
Research and gather information for show topics and segments
Write and deliver engaging scripts and ad-lib when necessary
Select and play music and sound effects to enhance the show
Engage with listeners through phone calls, social media, and on-air contests
Collaborate with producers and other team members to ensure a smooth and seamless show
Keep up-to-date with current events, pop culture, and industry trends to incorporate into show content
Attend promotional events and represent the station in a professional manner
Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies and procedures
Meet ratings goals and other performance metrics set by the station
Assist with creating and producing commercials, promos, and other station branding materials

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communications, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a radio host or similar role
Strong on-air presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to think on your feet and improvise when necessary
Proficient in social media platforms and able to engage with listeners online
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Knowledge of radio equipment and software, such as soundboards and editing programs
Familiarity with FCC regulations and guidelines
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Passion for music, entertainment, and connecting with listeners
Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
