Position: Public Policy Analyst

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Policy Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public policy development and analysis, along with excellent communication and research skills. As a Public Policy Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping our organization's stance on various policy issues and advocating for meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research and analysis on current and proposed policies at the local, state, and federal levels
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, identifying potential impacts and proposing strategies to address them
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and communicate policy positions and recommendations
• Build relationships with government officials, stakeholders, and other external partners to influence policy decisions
• Develop and maintain an understanding of our organization's mission, values, and goals to guide policy recommendations
• Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials on policy issues for internal and external audiences
• Stay updated on emerging policy trends and best practices, and provide insights and recommendations to the team
• Participate in public policy events and conferences, representing our organization and advocating for our positions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public policy analysis, research, or advocacy
• Strong understanding of the policy-making process and experience working with government officials and agencies
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences
• Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of current policy issues and trends, and the ability to analyze their potential impact on our organization
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Passion for social and political issues and a commitment to promoting positive change through policy advocacy
