Data Platform Lead

Job Title: Data Platform Lead

Position Overview: As a Data Platform Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our company's data platform. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a strong background in data management, architecture, and engineering. The Data Platform Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the data platform meets the needs of the organization and supports data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of the company's data platform, including data ingestion, storage, and processing
• Design and maintain data models, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and maintain data standards, policies, and procedures for data governance and management
• Monitor and troubleshoot data platform performance, identifying and resolving issues as needed
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data management and recommend new tools and technologies to improve the data platform
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members in data platform development and management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, architecture, and engineering
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.)
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role is a plus
