Overview: Altair Axis Tech College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Curriculum Development Specialist to join our team. As a leading provider of educational materials and resources, we are dedicated to creating innovative and effective curriculum that meets the needs of our diverse student population. The Curriculum Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing curriculum for various subject areas and grade levels, ensuring alignment with state and national standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the curriculum team to develop and enhance curriculum materials, including lesson plans, assessments, and instructional resources.
• Conduct research and analyze data to identify best practices and current trends in curriculum development.
• Utilize instructional design principles and techniques to create engaging and interactive curriculum that meets the needs of our students.
• Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
• Develop and implement training programs for teachers and staff on new curriculum materials and resources.
• Review and revise existing curriculum to ensure alignment with state and national standards.
• Stay updated on changes in educational policies and standards and make necessary adjustments to curriculum as needed.
• Provide support and guidance to teachers in implementing the curriculum effectively in the classroom.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency and coherence across all curriculum materials.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum materials and make recommendations for improvements.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate them into curriculum development.
• Attend conferences and professional development opportunities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in curriculum development, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and curriculum development methodologies.
• Familiarity with state and national educational standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and curriculum development software.
• Experience with online learning platforms and digital curriculum development is a plus.
• Passion for education and a commitment to creating high-quality curriculum materials that meet the needs of a diverse student population.
