Job Title: Data Platforms Administrator

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Platforms Administrator to join our team. As a Data Platforms Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our organization's data platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of data management and administration, as well as technical expertise in various data platforms and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer all data platforms used by the organization, including but not limited to databases, data warehouses, and big data platforms.
• Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and security of all data platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and ensure data platforms are meeting those needs.
• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any data platform issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Continuously monitor and improve data platform processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data platforms and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
• Develop and maintain documentation for all data platforms and processes.
• Train and educate team members on data platform usage and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management and administration.
• Strong technical expertise in various data platforms, such as Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data integration tools and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
• Certifications in database management or administration.
• Familiarity with programming languages, such as SQL, Python, or Java.
• Project management experience.
