Position: Database Modeler
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Database Modeler to join our dynamic team. As a Database Modeler, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's databases. You will work closely with our development and data teams to analyze business requirements and create efficient and effective database models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database models to meet business requirements
- Collaborate with development and data teams to ensure database models meet performance and scalability needs
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries and data flow diagrams to document database structures
- Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
- Implement data security measures to ensure the protection of sensitive data
- Conduct regular data model reviews and make necessary modifications as needed
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems and databases
- Stay updated on the latest database technologies and trends to recommend improvements to current systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Modeler or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and database management systems
- Proficient in SQL and database programming languages
- Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or Oracle Data Modeler
- Familiarity with data warehousing and data integration concepts
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
