Position: Nonprofit Development Director

Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nonprofit Development Director to join our team. As the Nonprofit Development Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support the growth and sustainability of our organization. You will work closely with the executive team and board of directors to cultivate relationships with donors, grantmakers, and other stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact in the community and has a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive fundraising plan to support the organization's mission and goals
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations
• Oversee the donor stewardship process, ensuring timely and personalized communication and recognition for all contributions
• Collaborate with the executive team and board of directors to create and execute fundraising campaigns and events
• Research and pursue grant opportunities, prepare grant proposals, and manage grant reporting requirements
• Develop and manage the annual budget for the development department
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in nonprofit fundraising and make recommendations for improvement and innovation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of achieving fundraising goals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the organization to a variety of audiences
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Passion for the mission of the organization and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community

Working Conditions: This is a full-time position that may require occasional evening and weekend work for events or donor meetings. The Nonprofit Development Director will work primarily in an office setting, but may also attend off-site meetings and events as needed.
