Position: Instructional Designer and Curriculum Developer

Location: Serengeti Polytechnic Academy, Serengeti City, Tanzania

About the Role: Serengeti Polytechnic Academy is seeking an experienced and innovative Instructional Designer and Curriculum Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing effective and engaging instructional materials and curriculum for our various educational programs. As an integral part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the learning experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand the learning objectives and requirements for each educational program
• Design and develop instructional materials, including but not limited to course outlines, learning objectives, lesson plans, presentations, activities, assessments, and other resources
• Utilize instructional design principles, learning theories, and best practices to create effective and engaging learning experiences
• Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for new content development
• Continuously review and update existing curriculum to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with industry standards and best practices
• Incorporate multimedia elements, such as videos, interactive activities, and simulations, to enhance the learning experience
• Ensure all instructional materials and curriculum are accessible and comply with accessibility standards
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and functionality of all instructional materials and curriculum
• Collaborate with the technical team to ensure seamless integration of instructional materials into our learning management system
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in instructional technology, and innovative instructional design strategies
• Provide support and training to instructors on the effective use of instructional materials and curriculum
• Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional projects to continuously improve our educational programs
• Effectively manage multiple projects within tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design and curriculum development
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning theories, and best practices
• Proficiency in instructional design software, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Camtasia
• Experience with learning management systems, preferably Moodle or Canvas
• Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• High level of creativity and innovation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Experience in the education or e-learning industry is preferred
