About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Azure Data Engineer, you will work closely with our data team to design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying data pipelines, as well as monitoring and optimizing data performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and a thorough understanding of the Azure ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines on the Azure platform
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and maintain data models and data structures to support data analytics and reporting
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and data cleansing processes
• Monitor and optimize data performance to ensure timely and accurate data delivery
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues in a timely manner
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in Azure data engineering and recommend new tools and techniques to improve data processes
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior data engineers
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on data engineering projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years of experience on the Azure platform
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services such as Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and SQL Database
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL processes and tools
• Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Proven track record of delivering complex data engineering projects within tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus
