Job Title: Production Supervisor - Packaging

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. As the Production Supervisor for our packaging department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the efficient and timely production of packaging materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production and packaging, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the packaging department, including managing a team of packaging technicians and operators
• Create and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of packaging materials
• Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
• Train and develop team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of packaging materials and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with other departments, such as production planning and quality control, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of finished products
• Prepare reports and provide updates to management on production metrics, including productivity, quality, and cost

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in a packaging or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of packaging processes, materials, and equipment
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software
• Strong understanding of safety and quality standards and regulations
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
