Job Title: Printing Press Operator

Position Overview: As a Printing Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. You will work closely with a team of press operators and production staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of print jobs. Your attention to detail and technical skills will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency and quality of our printing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate printing presses, including adjusting settings, loading materials, and running test prints
• Monitor press operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the printing process
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing presses to ensure proper functioning
• Coordinate with production team to prioritize and schedule print jobs
• Inspect printed materials for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments to meet specifications
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Keep accurate records of production and materials used
• Train and mentor new press operators as needed
• Stay updated on industry advancements and new printing techniques
• Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and increase efficiency

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in printing operations is a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating printing presses, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
• Knowledge of various printing techniques, materials, and equipment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed
