Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fruit Picking Team Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in fruit picking and a strong understanding of the farming industry. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of fruit pickers, ensuring that the harvesting process is done efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of fruit pickers, providing guidance and direction to ensure daily goals are met
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and experience
• Train new team members on fruit picking techniques, safety procedures, and company policies
• Monitor and maintain the quality of the fruit being picked, ensuring that only the best produce is harvested
• Coordinate with other departments to schedule harvest times and ensure proper allocation of resources
• Keep track of inventory and report any issues or discrepancies to the management
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety standards and regulations
• Communicate effectively with team members, providing feedback and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
• Evaluate the performance of team members and provide coaching or training when necessary
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in fruit picking, preferably in a supervisory role
• Strong understanding of farming practices and safety regulations
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Flexibility to work long hours and weekends during peak season
• High School Diploma or equivalent, additional education in agriculture or related fields is a plus
