Key Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle
Load and unload goods onto the vehicle in a safe and organized manner
Plan and follow the most efficient route to ensure timely delivery of goods
Deliver goods to designated locations while adhering to all traffic rules and regulations
Collect payments from customers and issue receipts
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions
Communicate with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status
Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents to the appropriate authorities
Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
Provide exceptional customer service at all times

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Route Driver or in a similar role
Ability to lift heavy objects and navigate through different types of terrain
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with using GPS and other navigation tools
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, as needed

Working Conditions: The Route Driver will be working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. They will be required to spend long hours on the road, driving to different locations and delivering goods. The ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions is essential.
