Job Title: Livestock Farming Coordinator

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Livestock Farming Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal husbandry and agriculture, with a passion for sustainable farming practices. As a Livestock Farming Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our livestock farming operations, including herd management, breeding, nutrition, and health. You will work closely with our team of farmers and veterinarians to ensure the highest quality of care for our animals and the success of our farming operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for livestock farming operations, including breeding, feeding, and health management
• Oversee daily operations of the farm, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of the animals, including implementing preventative health measures and coordinating with veterinarians as needed
• Manage breeding programs and ensure the highest quality of genetics for our herd
• Procure necessary supplies and equipment for the farm, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality
• Train and supervise farm staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• Maintain accurate records of herd health, production, and other important metrics
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies for selling livestock and livestock products
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in farming practices, and make recommendations for improvements to our operations
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards for livestock farming operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in livestock farming operations, with a strong background in animal husbandry
• Proven track record of success in managing breeding programs and maintaining herd health
• Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and a commitment to animal welfare
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to train and motivate a team
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in record-keeping and data analysis
• Valid driver's license and the ability to operate farm equipment
