Job Title: Mail Delivery Driver

Overview: We are seeking a reliable and organized Mail Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Mail Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering mail to various addresses within a designated route. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load mail into the delivery vehicle in a safe and organized manner
• Plan and follow the most efficient route for mail delivery
• Deliver mail to designated addresses on time while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
• Collect outgoing mail from various locations along the route
• Sort and organize mail for delivery
• Obtain signatures for registered, certified, and insured mail deliveries
• Maintain accurate records of mail deliveries and any incidents that may occur
• Report any mail delivery issues or delays to the supervisor immediately
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and keep the delivery vehicle clean and in good working condition
• Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Follow all company policies and procedures for mail delivery

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy packages
• Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns
• Basic math and computer skills
• Must pass a background check and drug test

Working Conditions:

• This is a full-time position that requires working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to handle and deliver large volumes of mail
• May need to operate a delivery vehicle in heavy traffic and congested areas
• Must adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
