Job Overview: As a Wood Products Quality Control Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of our wood products at various stages of the production process. Your attention to detail and keen eye for quality will be essential in identifying any defects or deviations from our standards. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that all products meet our specifications and are delivered to our customers in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of wood products at various stages of production, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products
• Use specialized tools and equipment to measure and test the quality of wood products, including calipers, micrometers, and moisture meters
• Document and report any defects or deviations from quality standards
• Work closely with the production team to address any quality issues and provide recommendations for improvement
• Verify that all products meet specifications and adhere to customer requirements
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results
• Monitor product quality trends and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on quality inspections and address any concerns or issues

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Wood Science, Forestry, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in wood products quality control or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of wood products and their properties
• Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and deviations from quality standards
• Proficient in using specialized tools and equipment for quality control inspections
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions based on data and analysis
• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to maintain a safe working environment
