Position: Film Editor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Film Editor to join our dynamic team. As a Film Editor, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage into a final product that meets the artistic vision of the project. You will collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other team members to bring their creative ideas to life. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the production of high-quality films.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit raw footage to create a cohesive and engaging final product
• Collaborate with directors and producers to understand their vision and incorporate it into the editing process
• Review and select the best takes from multiple shots to create a seamless and polished final product
• Add sound effects, music, and other audio elements to enhance the overall quality of the film
• Use special effects and other techniques to add visual interest and creativity to the film
• Continuously communicate with the production team to ensure that the editing process aligns with the overall project timeline and budget
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continually improve skills and deliver high-quality work
• Provide guidance and feedback to junior editors and other team members to support their growth and development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in film editing
• Strong proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
• Proficient in color correction and color grading techniques
• Knowledge of sound design and audio mixing
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative eye for detail and storytelling
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in film editing
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and techniques
• Strong understanding of different film genres and styles
