Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Specialist to join our team. As our Network Security Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the security of our company's network infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT team to identify and address potential security risks, implement security measures, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with a strong background in network security and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement network security policies and procedures for our company's network infrastructure
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks and make recommendations for improvement
• Monitor network traffic for any suspicious activity and take appropriate action to mitigate potential security threats
• Collaborate with our IT team to ensure that all network systems and devices are secure and up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates
• Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools to protect our network from external threats
• Keep up-to-date with the latest security technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their implementation as needed
• Create and maintain documentation related to network security procedures, policies, and incident response plans
• Train employees on network security best practices and conduct regular security awareness training sessions
• Respond to security incidents in a timely manner and provide support for incident investigations and remediation efforts
• Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements, and ensure that our network infrastructure is in compliance with these standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, preferably in a corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, tools, and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and vulnerability scanning
• Experience with security auditing and risk assessment methodologies
• Proficiency in network security best practices and industry standards, such as ISO 27001 and NIST
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make decisions in high-pressure situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CCNA Security, are an asset
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when necessary, in response to security incidents or planned maintenance activities
