You will be required to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work with hot glass and equipment. Safety gear such as goggles, gloves, and protective clothing will be provided. Working hours may vary depending on project deadlines and may include evenings and weekends. Job Title: Glass Blower

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Glass Blower to join our team. As a Glass Blower, you will be responsible for creating high-quality glass products using various techniques such as blowing, shaping, and molding. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, creativity, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize various techniques to shape and mold glass into desired forms
• Operate glass blowing equipment such as blowpipes, blowtorches, and kilns
• Monitor and adjust temperature and pressure levels to ensure quality and consistency
• Create and maintain molds and tools for glass blowing
• Collaborate with designers and clients to develop custom glass products
• Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary repairs
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling hot glass and operating equipment
• Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies as needed
• Train and mentor junior glass blowers, as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal education in glass blowing preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Glass Blower
• Strong knowledge of glass properties and techniques for shaping and molding
• Proficient in using various glass blowing equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Creative and artistic with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
