Job Overview: As the Data Security Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our company's overall data security strategy. You will oversee a team of data security professionals and work closely with other departments to ensure the protection of our clients' sensitive information. This is a crucial leadership role that requires a strong understanding of data security principles, compliance regulations, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data security strategy that aligns with business objectives and industry standards.
• Lead a team of data security professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure the team's success.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities in our systems, processes, and policies.
• Implement and maintain data security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
• Monitor and analyze security incidents and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement security measures for new products and services.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data security and make recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of our systems and processes to identify and address any security gaps.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external security partners and vendors.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management, providing updates on data security performance and any potential risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data security, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of data security principles, risk management, and compliance regulations.
• Experience with security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are preferred.
