Job Overview: As the Recreation Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our recreational programs, including planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of activities and events. You will work closely with other members of the management team to ensure that our programs align with our company's mission and goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for recreation and the ability to inspire and motivate others to participate in our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive recreational program that caters to the needs and interests of our community members.
• Plan and coordinate various recreational activities, such as sports leagues, fitness classes, arts and crafts, and special events.
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of recreation staff, including instructors, coaches, and volunteers.
• Create and manage program budgets, ensuring that all expenses are within budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote and market our recreational programs to the community.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations and businesses to expand our program offerings and enhance the overall experience for our participants.
• Monitor program participation and gather feedback from participants to continuously improve our programs.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of program activities, attendance, and budget expenditures.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all program participants by following all safety guidelines and protocols.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices and incorporate them into our recreational programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in the recreation industry.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with staff, participants, and community partners.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful recreational programs.
• Knowledge of budget management and ability to make strategic decisions to ensure program sustainability.
• Passion for recreation and a commitment to promoting health and wellness within the community.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
