Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain all sound equipment, including mixers, amplifiers, microphones, and speakers
Set up and test sound equipment before each production
Collaborate with the production team to understand the sound requirements and create a plan to achieve the desired sound effects
Record and edit audio for various projects, including films, commercials, and live events
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during production
Mix and balance audio levels to ensure clarity and quality sound
Implement sound effects and music to enhance the overall production
Manage and maintain sound libraries, ensuring all assets are organized and easily accessible
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in sound technology
Train and oversee the work of assistant sound engineers and other team members involved in the sound department

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Sound Engineering or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sound Engineer
Extensive knowledge of sound equipment, software, and recording techniques
Proficient in using digital audio workstations such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live
Strong understanding of acoustics and audio signal flow
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
Attention to detail and a strong ear for sound quality
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
