Overview: ConnectPolicy Network is seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Advocacy Coordinator. As an Advocacy Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in promoting and advocating for our organization's mission and goals. You will work closely with our advocacy team to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to advance our cause.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies and campaigns to promote ConnectPolicy Network's mission and goals.
• Conduct research and gather information on key issues and policies related to our organization.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that may impact our organization and its mission.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, community leaders, and partner organizations.
• Coordinate and manage advocacy events, such as rallies, panel discussions, and lobby days.
• Collaborate with our communications team to develop and disseminate advocacy materials, including fact sheets, briefs, and press releases.
• Manage and maintain our advocacy database and contact lists.
• Provide support and guidance to volunteers and grassroots advocates.
• Analyze and report on the effectiveness of advocacy initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date on best practices and trends in advocacy and incorporate them into our strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in advocacy, public policy, or government affairs.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with the legislative and regulatory process.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
