Position: Database Software Engineer

Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States

Overview: Sound Vibes Music is seeking a highly skilled Database Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Database Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our database systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our databases are efficient, secure, and scalable. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop database systems that meet our business needs and are scalable for future growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify database requirements and design solutions that meet those requirements.
• Develop and maintain database schemas, stored procedures, and queries to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Optimize database performance by identifying and resolving issues, implementing best practices, and monitoring system activity.
• Ensure data security and compliance by implementing necessary controls and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and make recommendations for improvements to current systems.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code is being produced.
• Write technical documentation to support database systems and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in database development and administration.
• Strong understanding of database concepts, data structures, and database languages such as SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience with database design, development, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with database security and compliance standards.
• Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
