Job Description: As a Database Administrator at ExpressDeliver, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our company's databases. You will work closely with our development and IT teams to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our databases. This is a critical role in our organization and will require a high level of technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement database structures, tables, and indexes
• Monitor database performance and optimize for maximum efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
• Develop and maintain database security policies and procedures
• Collaborate with development team to ensure database designs meet application requirements
• Perform data migrations and upgrades as needed
• Create and maintain database documentation and procedures
• Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator
• Strong knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
• Familiarity with database security and disaster recovery procedures
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
• Experience with cloud-based database technologies (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell)
