Title: Telecommunications Engineer

Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Telecommunications Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems and networks for our organization. Your role will involve working closely with our IT team to ensure seamless communication across all our departments and with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Design, install, and maintain telecommunications equipment and systems including data, voice, and video communication systems
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure optimal performance and identify and resolve any issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to telecommunications systems and equipment
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and manuals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new telecommunications solutions
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to make recommendations for upgrades and improvements
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Provide training and support to end-users on telecommunications systems and equipment
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for telecommunications services and equipment
• Conduct cost analysis and make recommendations for cost-effective solutions
• Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications engineering or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems and equipment, including PBX, VoIP, routers, switches, and firewalls
• Experience with network protocols, such as TCP/IP, SIP, and QoS
• Knowledge of telecommunications regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven project management skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems
• Availability for occasional travel and on-call support
