Job Title: Public Policy Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Policy Specialist to join our growing team. As a Public Policy Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing public policy strategies to support our organization's goals and objectives. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for policies that align with our mission and vision. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a strong understanding of policy development, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead the implementation of public policy strategies to support our organization's goals and objectives.
• Conduct research and analysis on current and proposed policies related to our industry, and provide recommendations on potential impacts.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and community organizations.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the local, state, and federal levels and provide timely updates to internal teams.
• Represent the organization at conferences, events, and other forums to promote our policy positions and build partnerships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute public affairs initiatives, such as grassroots campaigns, media outreach, and coalition building.
• Develop and maintain policy-related content for internal and external use, including white papers, fact sheets, and talking points.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on policy issues, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external partners.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders on policy issues and advocacy efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public policy development and advocacy, preferably in a corporate or non-profit setting.
• Strong understanding of the policy-making process and experience working with government officials and regulatory agencies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex policy issues to a variety of audiences.
• Proven experience in developing and executing public policy strategies.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex information.
• Experience in project management and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of current policy issues and trends related to our industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with policy-related software and databases.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
