Position: Managing Director of Equity Investments

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Director of Equity Investments to join our team. As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all equity investment activities within the organization. This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in finance, investments, and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing equity investments, driving business growth, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the organization's equity investment strategy in alignment with the overall business goals
• Oversee the entire equity investment process, from sourcing and due diligence to negotiation and deal execution
• Lead a team of investment professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to drive exceptional performance
• Manage relationships with external investors, including institutional and private investors, to secure funding for equity investments
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities
• Evaluate potential investments by analyzing financial statements, conducting due diligence, and assessing risk factors
• Negotiate terms and conditions of investments, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Monitor and track the performance of investments, making strategic decisions to optimize returns
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of investments
• Represent the organization at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and foster relationships with key stakeholders
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting investment performance and recommending strategic actions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in equity investments, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of successfully managing equity investments and delivering strong returns
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment principles, and valuation techniques
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate investment opportunities and assess potential risks
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving common goals
• Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Strong business acumen and understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to equity investments
• Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling software
• CFA or similar certification is a plus
