We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor of Education to join our prestigious institution of higher learning. As a Professor of Education, you will have the opportunity to shape the minds of future educators and contribute to the advancement of the field of education through your teaching, research, and mentorship.The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong passion for education and a deep understanding of pedagogy, curriculum development, and educational theories. Your primary responsibility will be to teach courses related to education, including but not limited to educational psychology, curriculum design, classroom management, and educational technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and relevant lectures, seminars, and workshops on various topics related to education
• Design and implement innovative and effective teaching strategies to enhance student learning outcomes
• Create and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments
• Provide individualized support and guidance to students through academic advising and mentorship
• Conduct research in the field of education, publish scholarly articles, and present at conferences to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field
• Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals in the field to develop and implement educational initiatives and programs
• Serve on committees and participate in departmental and institutional activities and events
• Supervise student teachers and provide feedback and support to ensure their success in the classroom
• Stay current with developments and trends in the field of education and integrate them into teaching and research activities

Requirements:

• PhD in Education or a related field from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level
• Proven track record of research and publication in the field of education
• Extensive knowledge of pedagogy, curriculum development, and educational theories
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities
