Position Title: Packaging Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Packaging Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Packaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient packaging of our products. From selecting the appropriate materials to implementing quality control measures, you will be responsible for every step of the packaging process. This is a fast-paced and challenging role that requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select and source appropriate packaging materials based on product specifications and customer requirements
• Operate packaging equipment, such as sealers, fillers, and labeling machines, to package products accurately and efficiently
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all products are packaged according to company standards and specifications
• Troubleshoot packaging equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of packaged products
• Maintain accurate records of packaging materials and inventory levels, and order new materials as needed
• Implement and maintain packaging procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and efficiency
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in packaging technology to continuously improve processes and reduce costs
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized packaging area
• Train and mentor new team members on packaging processes and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in packaging, engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a packaging role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, equipment, and processes
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles is a plus
