Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic advising services to a diverse population of students, including undergraduate and graduate students.
• Assist students with course selection, scheduling, and registration.
• Conduct one-on-one advising sessions to discuss academic progress, career goals, and any challenges or concerns.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of academic programs, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide students with accurate and up-to-date information.
• Monitor students' academic progress and intervene when necessary to ensure they are on track to meet their goals.
• Assist students with developing academic plans and setting achievable academic goals.
• Facilitate workshops and information sessions on academic success strategies, time management, and study skills.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and ensure confidentiality in all interactions.
• Stay current with trends and developments in higher education and student advising.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of higher education policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and student information systems.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
