Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Medical Assistant to join our team. This individual will work closely with our healthcare team to provide a wide range of clinical and administrative support to our patients and medical staff. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice and delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Duties
• Assisting healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Preparing and sterilizing medical equipment for use
• Taking and recording vital signs and patient medical history
• Administering medications and injections as directed by the healthcare provider
• Collecting and processing lab specimens
• Providing patient education on various medical conditions and treatments
• Assisting with minor surgical procedures
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Coordinating referrals and follow-up appointments for patients

Administrative Duties:

• Managing patient scheduling and registration
• Answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel
• Processing insurance and billing information
• Ordering and maintaining medical supplies
• Maintaining a clean and organized patient examination and waiting rooms
• Assisting with medical record management and documentation

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a medical assisting program or relevant certification
• Previous experience in a medical office or similar healthcare setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Proficient in basic computer skills and electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
• Compassionate and empathetic towards patients
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
