This is a full-time position that may require some evening and weekend hours. The role may also involve travel within the community to meet with clients and attend meetings. About Us: We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and services to children and families in need. Our mission is to promote the well-being of children and families in our community, and we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Child and Family Advocate to join our team.

Job Summary: As a Child and Family Advocate, you will be responsible for providing support and advocacy services to children and families who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. You will work closely with our clients to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are met. You will also collaborate with other professionals and agencies to provide comprehensive support and resources to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide trauma-informed support and advocacy services to children and families in crisis.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs are being met.
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs and strengths of each client.
• Create and implement individualized service plans for each client.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Connect clients with community resources and services to meet their needs.
• Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to coordinate services and ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
• Document all interactions, services provided, and progress made by clients.
• Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the legal and child welfare systems.
• Attend and participate in case conferences, court hearings, and other meetings related to clients' cases.
• Provide education and support to families on parenting skills, child development, and other relevant topics.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with children and families in a social services setting.
• Knowledge of child welfare laws and systems.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and its application in working with children and families.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
