Position: Orchard Production Coordinator

Job Overview: As an Orchard Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and operations of our orchard. You will work closely with our team of orchard workers to ensure that our orchard produces high-quality fruits while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of orchard management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans to ensure the orchard meets its annual production goals
• Oversee the daily operations of the orchard, including planting, pruning, harvesting, and pest management
• Monitor and maintain the health of the orchard, including irrigation, fertilization, and disease control
• Hire, train, and supervise a team of orchard workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their tasks effectively
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, yields, and expenses
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that the orchard's production meets market demand
• Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise in the orchard and take appropriate action to resolve them
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the orchard's production processes
• Communicate regularly with management to provide updates on the orchard's production and address any concerns or issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in orchard management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of orchard production techniques, including planting, pruning, pest management, and irrigation
• Proven experience in managing and leading a team of workers
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in the agriculture industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours during peak production seasons
