Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with transportation carriers to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions for our company
Negotiate transportation rates and contracts with carriers to meet budget and service requirements
Monitor carrier performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner
Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery
Plan and optimize transportation routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
Work closely with the purchasing and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products
Manage the transportation budget and make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and laws
Analyze transportation data and provide reports to management on key performance metrics
Continuously look for ways to improve transportation processes and procedures
Train and mentor team members on transportation best practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management
Strong negotiation and analytical skills
Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation software
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
