Position: Academic Program Director

About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Program Director to join our team. As the Academic Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our academic programs, ensuring their quality and effectiveness. You will work closely with faculty members, students, and other key stakeholders to ensure that our programs meet the needs of our students and align with the overall goals of our institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement academic programs that align with the institution's mission and goals
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs and make recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with faculty members to design and revise curriculum, ensuring that it meets industry standards and prepares students for success
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of faculty members and other academic staff
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners to ensure that our programs are relevant and up-to-date
• Monitor and analyze data related to student performance and retention, making adjustments to programs as needed
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accreditation and regulatory standards
• Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources
• Stay current with trends and developments in higher education and make recommendations for program updates and enhancements
• Serve as a liaison between faculty, students, and other departments to address any issues or concerns related to academic programs
• Lead and participate in committees and other initiatives related to academic program development and improvement
• Represent the institution at conferences, meetings, and other events related to academic programs
• Collaborate with marketing and admissions teams to promote and market academic programs to prospective students
• Provide leadership and support to academic advisors to ensure a positive and productive academic experience for students

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant field
• Previous experience in academic program development and management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards in higher education
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders
• Experience with budget management and resource allocation
• Proficiency in data analysis and evaluation
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in academic programs
• Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset
