Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily care and monitoring for all animals at our facility, including feeding, cleaning, and medicating as needed.
Observe and report any changes in animal behavior or health to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for the animals, including ensuring proper sanitation and hygiene protocols are followed.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
Assist with animal intake, including medical examinations, vaccinations, and behavior assessments.
Monitor and record daily food and water intake, as well as any other necessary data for each animal.
Participate in training and enrichment programs for animals to promote their physical and mental wellbeing.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all animals receive the highest quality of care and attention.
Assist with the adoption process, including counseling potential adopters and completing necessary paperwork.
Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and visitors to provide information about our animals and organization.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in animal care or related field.
Knowledge of animal behavior, health, and welfare.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
