Position: Educational Technology Specialist

Overview: Our organization is seeking an experienced Educational Technology Specialist to join our team. As an Educational Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for integrating technology into teaching and learning in order to enhance student engagement, promote digital literacy, and support innovative instructional practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for education, as well as the ability to collaborate with teachers, students, and other stakeholders to effectively implement technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement technology integration plans to support student learning and achievement
• Collaborate with teachers to identify educational technology needs and provide ongoing support and training
• Evaluate and select appropriate technology tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning
• Provide technical support for hardware and software, including troubleshooting and maintenance
• Stay current on emerging trends and best practices in educational technology and share knowledge with colleagues
• Conduct research and assess the effectiveness of technology integration initiatives
• Develop and deliver presentations and workshops to support professional development for staff
• Work with school leaders to develop technology policies and procedures
• Manage the school's learning management system and other online platforms
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through the use of technology

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in educational technology, instructional technology, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an educational technology role
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of educational technology tools and resources
• Experience with learning management systems and online platforms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations in education
• Passion for education and a commitment to enhancing student learning through technology
• Previous experience in a K-12 school setting is preferred
