Position: Network Operations Manager

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Network Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our company's network infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our network, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise, and implementing strategies to improve network performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network management, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest networking technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the company's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Monitor network performance and identify any issues or bottlenecks, taking proactive measures to prevent downtime and improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, working closely with other IT teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Develop and implement network security protocols and procedures to safeguard against cyber threats.
• Conduct regular network audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement network upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for network equipment and services.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and policies.
• Train and mentor junior network operations staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations management.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
• Extensive experience with Cisco networking equipment and technologies.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex networks.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are highly preferred.
