Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices and terms for products
Monitor inventory levels and make purchasing decisions based on sales trends and market demands
Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to ensure our products are competitively priced
Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and adjust purchasing accordingly
Manage the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve efficiency in the purchasing process
Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations to ensure quality and on-time delivery
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop product strategies and promotions
Stay updated on industry trends and new products to make informed purchasing decisions
Train and mentor junior purchasing staff to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
5+ years of experience in purchasing and supply chain management, preferably in a wholesale or retail setting
Proven track record of negotiating and managing supplier relationships
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and make informed purchasing decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
Knowledge of inventory management techniques and best practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor junior staff
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
