Role Description: As a GIS Developer at GeoSpatial Insights Hub, you will be at the heart of our development team, creating GIS solutions that are both innovative and functional. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, designing and implementing GIS software that solves real-world problems, enhances decision-making processes, and contributes to our understanding of spatial phenomena.

Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement GIS applications and tools according to project requirements.Work with geospatial data to create mapping applications and perform spatial analysis.Collaborate with analysts and project managers to understand user needs and deliver GIS solutions that meet those needs.Maintain and improve existing GIS software to enhance functionality and user experience.Stay up-to-date with the latest GIS technologies and software development practices to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.Provide technical support and training to users on GIS applications.Document software development processes and application functionalities.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field with a strong focus on GIS.Proven experience in GIS development, including experience with GIS software (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS) and development tools.Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL.Experience with web mapping technologies (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, ArcGIS API for JavaScript) is highly desirable.Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex GIS concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Creative problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
