Title: Environmental Compliance Officer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Compliance Officer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that our organization complies with all relevant environmental laws and regulations. The Environmental Compliance Officer will work closely with internal teams and external agencies to develop and implement strategies for maintaining compliance and minimizing our environmental impact. This is a dynamic role that requires a strong understanding of environmental issues, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant environmental laws and regulations.
• Monitor changes in environmental regulations and communicate updates to relevant teams.
• Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance with environmental standards.
• Identify potential environmental risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that environmental considerations are incorporated into business decisions and processes.
• Work with external agencies and consultants to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and industry associations.
• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of environmental programs and initiatives.
• Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct training and education sessions for employees to promote environmental awareness and compliance.
• Keep accurate records of all environmental compliance activities and maintain relevant documentation.
• Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.
• Stay informed about emerging environmental issues and trends, and make recommendations for adapting the organization's practices accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in environmental compliance or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Experience with environmental auditing and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Ability to travel as needed.
